Work Package 2: Foundations

Description

In WP2, the foundations for the subsequent work packages will be built by reviewing the legal framework conditions for residential PV systems in Austria and surveying the literature on the household characteristics determining PV adoption as well as barriers/supporting factors for residential PV deployment. Moreover, the possible development of the costs of PV systems and of retail electricity prices up to 2040 will be analysed and, consequently, distinct trend scenarios ('prosumer scenarios') will be derived. These aspects will be discussed with stakeholders and fed into the choice experiment (via a list of potentially relevant household characteristics) as well as into the technology diffusion model (WP4) and the macroeconomic model (WP5).
